The Field Club

Within the embrace of Wilson’s Field Club lies an invitation, extended graciously to both members and esteemed guests of The Louis, beckoning them to partake in a realm where the fervor of sporting endeavors intertwines with the creation of enduring memories.

Our private course currently hosts the timeless tradition of trap and skeet, providing a unique and unforgettable experience. The course is shaded by a multitude of black walnut trees, adding to the ambiance and charm of the setting.

In October, you can anticipate the exciting launch of a range of shooting experiences for Field Club members and guests. You will engage in the rapid-paced dynamics of a five stand, traverse the course with the challenge of walking sporting clays, and embrace the exhilarating twists of helice. These options will be available as our expansion plans are finalized, promising thrilling adventures for years to come.

Artists in Residence

In 2023, Wilson Works forged a partnership with the esteemed Dixon Gallery and Gardens in Memphis, Tennessee, to inaugurate an exclusive artist-in-residency program in Wilson.

Throughout the 60-day residency, distinguished artists showcase their art in regional exhibitions, impart erudite discussions and tours to residents, members, and visitors, interact with the students of The Delta School, partake in cultural events within Wilson, and create art infused with their personal experiences and insights gained in Wilson.

Explore the Mississippi River - Professionally Guided River Trips

Mississippi River Expeditions and Quapaw Canoe Company, has partnered with the Village of Wilson to be the exclusive guide and outfitting service for the Mississippi River in that region. Offering professionally guided river trips in our 30ft multi-person Voyageur canoes down the most iconic river in North America. All trips are privately chartered and custom tailored to each groups needs, with each canoe being captained by an experienced wilderness river guide.

From the Village of Wilson, it’s just a short ride to where the canoes are launched into Mississippi River, with its pristine sandy beaches and willow tree islands, to begin our downriver voyages. Trips range from day trips to overnight and multi-day camping trips. Leave everything up to us and just be prepared to paddle. No experience necessary. The Mississippi River is more of a sandy river than a muddy river, with its big moving water reflecting the sky, and leaving every paddler in awe of her beauty. As the Grand Canyon is a vertically grand world, the Mississippi River is a horizontally grand world. Our excursions are perfect for friend and family outings, corporate retreats, culinary experiences, youth groups, artistic retreats, yoga retreats and anything else you can imagine.
